Code of conduct
As a participant in the Dunn Street United States Engagement Mission, you’re asked to comply with our code of conduct for the duration of the program.
Please read each section of this document carefully and acknowledge you have read and understood the policy in the Mission form emailed to you.
All delegates should:
Behave honestly, in good faith and with integrity in the course of their activities.
Treat fellow delegation members and those you meet with respect and courtesy.
Comply with all applicable Australian and foreign laws.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality about your dealings and the information you receive including information about the operation of parties, individuals and organisations.
Disclose, and take reasonable steps to avoid any conflicts of interest (real or apparent).
Do not engage in any unlawful or anti-social behaviour, including using illegal drugs, excessive consumption of alcohol, sexual harassment, verbal abuse, intimidation, bullying and discrimination.
Do not undertake actions that could damage the reputation of Dunn Street or the organisation you represent.
Use Dunn Street and other resources available to you in a proper and respectful manner.
Whilst Dunn Street recognises the invaluable use of social media in promoting positive international engagement and for the exchange of learnings and information, delegates are asked to exercise judgement if posting on social media whilst travelling as part of the Mission.
Delegates travelling overseas under the Dunn Street Mission are requested to abide by the following principles when using social media:
· Posts should be made to promote the positive work and activities of the program and its partners.
· If you are unsure if an image or post is suitable for posting, Dunn Street staff are able to provide guidance. It is better to be safe than sorry!
· These guidelines also apply to delegates being tagged in photos. Take good care of your online footprint and ensure others are respectful of your online presence. If required, amend your settings to monitor who can tag you in a photo.
· Remember that anything you post can be used in the future to discredit both yourself, and the program, potentially jeopardising your credibility, the future of the program and Dunn Street’s activities and organising of international delegations.
Dunn Street encourages delegates to use social media to promote the program and your involvement on the mission – just be sensible about it.
Please confirm receipt via the Mission form.
